Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Center is implementing temporary visitor restrictions in all their healthcare facilities including in Wilkes County effective Wednesday, December 10.
These restrictions are in response to a sustained increase in respiratory viruses, such as flu and covid. The restrictions include:Â Children 12 and under and anyone with respiratory symptoms should not visit. Healthy children under 12 must stay with a caregiver and cannot visit other patient care areas. Also, they ask that visitors wear masks in areas where direct patient care is provided and in waiting areas.
