An Alexander County woman with a Hickory address has been charged following what’s being called a domestic related incident. Rebekah Donna York , age 61, was taken into custody Thursday evening by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office and charged with assault with a deadly weapon. The weapon was allegedly a knife. A male victim suffered minor injuries. York is being held without bond in the Alexander County Detention Center. She’s scheduled to appear in district court on Monday in Taylorsville.
