Alexander County Public Health is pleased to provide Covid-19 vaccinations for Alexander County citizens.

At this time the Alexander County Health Department is scheduling:
– first & second dose appointments for the Pfizer vaccine for children ages 5-11 & for youth & adults ages 12 & older; as well as the Moderna vaccine for adults age 18 & older
– Pfizer booster vaccines for persons ages 12-17 who had both doses of Pfizer vaccine at least 5 months ago
– Pfizer or Moderna booster vaccines for persons age 18 & over who had both doses of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or a combination of the two, at least 5 months ago

The department continues to schedule 3rd/immunocompromised doses of the Pfizer (5 & over) & Moderna vaccines (18 & over) for those who are moderately to severely immunocompromised according to CDC guidelines and who received their 2nd dose of Covid vaccine at least 28 days ago. We also schedule boosters for these patients (ages 12 & over) at least 5 months after their 3rd doses. Persons age 12-17 must receive the Pfizer booster.

We do not have the Janssen/J&J vaccine but those who meet criteria and are interested in receiving it are encouraged to contact their healthcare provider or local pharmacy.
