Working smoke alarms can cut the risk of death from home fires in half. That’s why the American Red Cross is rallying volunteers, fire departments, and partners to “Sound the Alarm.”
The American Red Cross and the Alexander County Fire Marshal’s Office are offering free smoke alarm installations on Saturday, March 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Those interested should sign up at www.soundthealarm.org (enter your zip code, click on “Smoke Alarm Request,” and enter your information).
Someone will then contact you to schedule and confirm your request. If you can’t register online, please call 828-264-8226 option 7.
