A Taylorsville woman has been charged with numerous offenses. 20 year old Makayla Leann Bortz was taken into custody by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office on October 14th and charged with simple assault, possession of schedule IV controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bortz was held in the County Detention Center under a secured bond of $2,500. Her court date is set for November 19th in Taylorsville.
