Alexander County Veterans Committee Creating “Veterans Brick Walk”

April 21, 2022 By Richard C. Gilbert

The Alexander County Veterans Committee is creating a “Veterans Brick Walk” at the Taylorsville City Cemetery to honor local veterans. This military recognition project offers an opportunity to make your loved one (veterans who are living or deceased) a part of Alexander County history with an engraved commemorative brick. Cost is $50 per brick without a military logo or $60 with a military logo. Please note that having a brick on this walk does not mean the veteran is interred at this cemetery. This project is a joint effort of Alexander Legion Post 170, Taylorsville DAV Chapter 84, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Taylorsville Post 5466. For more information, call (828) 632-5411. See the photos above for more details, or download the brochure/application at https://bit.ly/ac-veterans-brick-walk.
