Luis Gerardo Rios Cardenas, age 18 of Hiddenite, was taken into custody Saturday morning by the Hickory Police Department. He is charged with felony larceny and simple assault. Cardenas is being held under a $1,500 bond in the Catawba County Detention Center and scheduled to appear in Catawba County District Court on Monday, June 24th.
