Alexander County Roadway To Close Next Week

TAYLORSVILLE – N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews will close a section of Pilgrim Church Road northeast of Taylorsville next week, weather permitting.
 
The closure will be in place from April 22 through May 16 so crews can safely replace a pipe under the roadway
 
Drivers will be detoured around the closure using McCurdy Road, Hopewell Church Road, Sulphur Springs Road and Smith Grove Church Road, returning to Pilgrim Church Road.
 
Drivers should remain alert, use caution, and reduce speed in the work zone.
