Alexander County has recorded the 130th COVID-19 death since the beginning of the pandemic almost two years ago.
In their Monday update, the Alexander County Health Department confirmed that a citizen had died since the last report issued on Thursday, January 27th.
Sine the Thursday update 391 new cases have been counted. 6 county citizens were hospitalized with COVID associated symptoms as of noon on Monday, January 31st.
