Walter Stephen Johnson
As previously reported, Walter Stephen Johnson, age 68, was arrested by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office on July 14th. He was charged at that time with 3-felony counts of indecent liberties with a child. His initial bond was set at $250,000.
It was also reported that Johnson was charged with 5 additional counts of felony sex-offense with a child counts on July 18th. These charges involved an alleged 2nd victim. Bond was increased to $1.225 million.
Last week investigators filed 4 counts of indecent liberties with a child against Johnson. His bond now stands at $1.450 million. He remains in custody.
Court appearances are scheduled for August 11, 18 and September 15 in Taylorsville.
