Alexander County Man Nabbed For Violating His Registered Sex-Offender Status

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Stony Point man on Monday for violation of his sex-offender status.

35-year old Brandon Scott Carter was taken into custody for being on a school campus which is a violation for a citizen listed on the sex-offender registry. Carter was later released under a secured bond of $20,000 and is scheduled for district court on September 21st.

Carter was convicted of felony rape in Forsyth County in 2004. He served 19 year is prison as result of that conviction.
