A Taylorsville man, 37-year-old Michael Jovi Simmons, is back in jail. He completed an Alexander County 60-day jail sentence in November for possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of methamphetamine. On Wednesday, Simmons was arrested for felony probation violation and defrauding an alcohol/drug test. As of earlier today he remains in the Alexander County Detention Center.
