Alexander County Sheriff Deputies arrested 44-year old Nicolas Rioja of Taylorsville on Tuesday on a number of charges. Rioja is charged with assault on a female, communicating threats, injury to personal property, larceny, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The suspect is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center without bond pertaining to the assault on a female charge. A court date is scheduled for March 16th.
