Alexander County Man Jailed After Missing Court Appearance

Dustin Quay Peterson, age 42 of Hiddenite,was arrested on Saturday, July 8th and served a warrant for failure to appear. The original charge was felony possession cocaine. He is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond set at $50,000.

Peterson also has pending charges in Alexander County driving while license revoked and communicating threats. A charge is awaiting trial in Catawba County for felony possession of a firearm by a felon.
