Alexander County Man Held Without Bond

James Ashley Sweet, age 44 of Taylorsville, was arrested on Monday in Alexander County. He’s charged with larceny and is being held without bond in the County Detention Center.

Sweet was released from prison in August of 2023 after serving a 14 year sentence for a series of convictions including felony breaking and entering and larceny and felony larceny of motor vehicles.
