Alexander County Man Facing Additional Child-Pornography Related Charges

A 20-year-old Alexander County man already on pre-trial release on charges involving the downloading and distribution of child pornography is now back in custody and facing new charges.

On Friday, June 12th, Alexander County Deputies charged Landon Samuel Bolton of Sherwood DR., Taylorsville (Bethlehem Community), with seven-counts of felony third-degree sexual exploitation of minors. He is being held without bond in the county detention center.

Bolton was first charged on May 27th with six-counts of felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The charges were related to possession and distribution of explicit images involving prepubescent males and females. He remained in custody until being released on June 3rd according to online records.

The latest charges involve the possession of material containing a visual representation of prepubescent minors involved in sexual activity with adults.
