Tommie Lee Varner, age 50 of Taylorsville, was placed in custody on Monday for two counts of failure to appear. The original charges were for probation violations. Varner was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $10,000. A January 3, 2023 court date is scheduled.
