A Taylorsville man was arrested Tuesday evening by Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies. Following a routine traffic stop, 42-year-old Matthew Joseph Stanier was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and damage to personal property. Stanier has been released from custody under a $40,000 secured bond.
