Alexander County Man Arrested On Tuesday…Updated

The Office of Probation and Parole along with Alexander County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested 29-year old Dakota Lynn Miller of Taylorsville on Tuesday. He was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest. Miler remains in the Alexander County Detention Center as of earlier today with a secured bond set at $30,000. A Monday, April 17th court date is scheduled.

Update: The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office has released additional information

On April 11, 2023, Alexander County Sheriff’s Office Deputies went to assist North Carolina Probation and Parole Officers with a search at a residence in the Wittenburg Community. Upon contact at the residence a male subject, Dakota Lynn Miller, exited the back door. Officers gave commands to stop but Miller refused to comply and walked away. As other officers approached, Miller attempted to discard an item he was carrying. He was eventually detained. Nine grams of methamphetamine and a quantity of marijuana was discovered in a bag that he tried to discard. Dakota Lynn Miller was arrested and transported to the Alexander County Detention Center.
