Alexander County Man Arrested On Child Exploitation Charge

Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 31-year-old Richard Dean Jordan on Friday. The Alexander County resident lists a Hickory address. He’s charged with felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Jordan is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $1.5 million with an initial court appearance scheduled for Monday in Taylorsville.

The charges involve the downloading of child pornography and the investigation is ongoing according to Sheriff Chad Pennell.
