Alexander County Fire Claims A Life Sunday Morning

The Alexander County Fire Marshall’s Office has confirmed that a female in her 80’s died in a fire this morning north of Taylorsville.

Units from Sugar Loaf, Taylorsville and Vashti responded to the Frank Smith Mobile Home Park off NC 16 North, just before 10 am.

No other injures have been reported. The investigation is ongoing.
