Richard Dean Jordan
As previously reported, on April 4th, 31-year old Richard Dean Jordan was arrested by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office and charged with multiple counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Jordan, a few days later was charged in Iredell County with 7 counts of secret peeping. He is reported to also have a Statesville residence.
On Friday, April 11, Jordan was charged with first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and indecent liberties with a child. The additional charges are related to a 2-year-old victim. The latest charges are not related to downloading child pornography but actually videoing a child.
Alexander County Detectives were notified by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program that referenced a photo of a 10-year-old girl and a video of a 6-year-old girl uploaded. A search warrant said additional videos found on Jordan’s Google account appears to be made from a hidden camera inside a bathroom at Jordan’s home in Alexander County.
According to Alexander County Sheriff Chad Pennell, “It’s highly likely that additional charges will be forthcoming.” Pennell said this morning that “We are going through numerous devices obtained with a search warrant. We’ve been through just one so far.”
Iredell Counties authorities continue their investigation as well.
Jordan already has been suspended by the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston- Salem where prior to his initial arrest he was listed on staff.
Dr Jordan is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with a bond set at $595,000.
