John Frank Lipps, age 45, was arrested by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office on Friday. He was served with an arrest warrant from Catawba County for felony larceny of a motor vehicle. He was also charged with felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Lipps remains in the Alexander County Detention Center with a bond of $35,000. An Alexander County District Court date is scheduled for Monday, January 24th. He has a court date in Catawba County set for Tuesday, January 25th.
