Alexander County Deputies Arrest Suspect At Scene Of Crime

In the early hours of Thursday, December 4, the Alexander County 911 Center received a report of a suspicious silver vehicle and a male subject breaking into a residence on Taylorsville MFG Road. Deputies responded to the location and discovered the front door of the residence standing open.

James Edward Cook, age 33, of Taylorsville, was arrested at the scene and charged with one count of Felony Breaking and Entering and one count of Second-Degree Trespass. Cook was transported to the Alexander County Detention Center and is being held without bond.

A first appearance in Alexander County District Court is scheduled for December 8.
