Alexander County Deputies Arrest Duo On Drug Charges

At approximately 12:23 am on Saturday, June 28. Alexander County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Nissan Maxima for motor vehicle violations. During the course of the investigation, deputies discovered narcotics and a firearm in the vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, the following individuals were arrested:

Mary Taylor Mecimore, 23-years-old from Taylorsville, was charged with:

Possession of Methamphetamine
Simple Possession of Marijuana
Simple Possession of Schedule IV (Alprazolam) Controlled Substance
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Mecimore was released under a $15,000 secured bond. Her first court appearance is scheduled for Monday, June 30 in District Court.

Michael Dwayne Warren, 58-years-old from Taylorsville, was charged with:

Carrying a Concealed Weapon
Simple Possession of Schedule III Controlled Substance
Two Counts of Simple Possession of Schedule IV (Alprazolam) Controlled Substance
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Warren remained in custody as of this morning with a $12,500 secured bond. His first court appearance is also scheduled for June 30, in District Court.
