Alexander County Deputies Arrest Couple On Stolen Vehicle Charge

Alexander County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested two people on Thursday in connection with a stolen vehicle.

Shakyra Lashay Smith, 31 of Hiddenite is charged with felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle. She has been released from custody under a secured bond of $5,000. Smith is scheduled for a Taylorsville court appearance on Monday.

34-year-old Joshua Ryan Billips of Wilkesboro is charged with felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle. As of earlier today, Billips remains in custody with bond set for $5,000. A Monday court appearance is scheduled.
