There were five new cases of COVID-19 reported in Alexander County on Thursday according to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
4,260 cases have been counted since the beginning of the pandemic with 85 deaths associated with the COVID-19 virus.
As of 5pm Thursday, 10 Alexander County citizens were hospitalized with COVID-19 symptoms.
