On Tuesday, August 12, at approximately 4:47 pm, the Alexander County 911 Communications Center received report of a possible armed robbery on Gravel Hill Court in Taylorsville. The victims provided responding officers with a description of the suspect vehicle.
Deputies with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office and officers with the Taylorsville Police Department quickly located the vehicle in question on Polk Street. Following a prompt investigation, law enforcement arrested two suspects in connection with the incident.

Furquan Shakeem Maynard
Two counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
Two counts of Assault by Pointing a Gun
One count of Felony Larceny.
Maynard is currently being held at the Alexander County Detention Center without bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for August 18, in Alexander County District Court.

Zhaheim Duran Millsaps
