The Lady Panthers got the winning basket with 15 seconds left in the game and took a tense back and forth battle that featured 11 lead changes.
Zoey Walker led Hibriten with 21 points. The Lady Cougars, still without a pair of starters in Kirstyn Herman and Malayah Adams due to injury, were paced by freshman Meredth Wike with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
Hibriten jumps to 20-3 and 7-2 in Northwestern Conference play. Alexander Central drops their third game in a row and slides to 17-6 and 3-6.

Senior Avery Cook led ACHS with 23 points. Senior Grayson Presnell added 15. The Panthers were led by Jay Willis with 25 points.
AC was 15 of 20 from the free-throw line compared to Hibriten’s 10 of 21.
The Blue and Gold improve to 16-6 and 7-2 in conference play. The loss drops Hibriten to 9-14 and 2-7.
