Taylorsville: The Lady Cougars broke a 3-game losing streak. “I’ll sleep tonight” coach Jon Presnell said after his team took control in second half for the win.
The teams were knotted at twenty each at the break. AC would be up by seven after three and cruised through the final period. Meredith Wike led the Lady Cougar scoring with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Faith Burch scored 12 points and 15 big rebounds, Malayah Adams added 10 points and 6 assists. Payton Caldwell led the Lady Patriots (10-8, 3-2) with 13 points. The victory puts ACHS at 10-8 and 2-3 in Northwestern Conference play.
