Alexander Central Takes The Broom To Hibriten

Taylorsville: Alexander Central nipped Hibriten in a game that featured 6 ties and 9 lead changes. Sophomore Faith Burch led the Lady Cougars with 17 points and 10 rebounds, Malaya Adams had 15 points Merdith Wike was held to 9 points but she pulled down 11 rebounds. Hibriten was led by Karlee Starnes with 12. Hibriten won the board-battle 40-28. ACHS improves to 4-5 in Northwestern Conference play and 14-9 overall while the Lady Panthers drop to 3-6 and 13-10.

Varsity Men

Alexander Central 65 Hibriten 34

The Cougars stormed out to a 22-8 lead after the opening period and 34-9 at the half. Jayon Connor poured in 42 points despite going only 7 of 14 from the free throw line. Hibriten was led by Damarion Gaither with 17. Alexander Central goes to 5-4 in conference and 11-11 overall while Hibriten sinks to 0-9 and 3-20.
