The Cougars routed rival Hickory to take 3rd place in the annual Easter Baseball Tournament in Catawba County.
Dillon Church went the distance for the win allowing 2 runs on 4 hits. Five different Cougars had runs batted in.
Alexander Central is 7-8 on the season. Hickory slides to 2-10.
Hibriten won the Tournament title beating St Stephens 8-3.
