Morganton: Macy Law pitched a 6-inning, 3-hitter for Alexander Central on Wednesday against Freedom and the Lady Cougars cruised to a win.
ACHS collected 12 hits led by Alyssa Chapman with 3. Kyla Hamby, Kensley Davis and Anna Jordan all had a pair of hits. Kirstyn Herman homered.
Alexander Central improves to 11-2 and 4-1 in Northwestern Conference play. Freedom falls to 6-9 and 1-4.
