Alexander Central’s Softball team routed Freedom on Monday at Central Park in Taylorsville.
The Lady Cougars trailed 1-0 going to the third inning. They scored a pair and never looked back by adding 2 more runs in the 4th, a run in the 5th, and erupting for 6 in the sixth.
Kara Hinkle got the win in the circle allowing just 1 hit and an unearned run. Chesney Stikeleather was 2 for 4 and drove in 3 including a homer. Darcy Childers collected 3 hits and had two runs batted in. Ava Chapman went 2 for 2 and knocked in 3.
ACHS improves to 3-0 on the season.
