Alexander Central led 9-0 going to the 6th inning of the game played in Marion on Monday before the hosts scored 5 runs making the final 9-5.
2b Kenzie Church went 2-4 including a home run and 4 rbi to pace the Lady Cougars at the plate. Chesney Stikeleather went 3-4 with 2 runs-batted-in. Ava Chapman homered and drove in a pair.
Faith Carrigan got the win going 5 .1 innings allowing 8 hits and 5 runs (2 earned) Kara Hikle came on to get the save for ACHS. The win improves the Lady Cougars to 8-1 overall and 7-1 in Northwestern Conference play.
