Alexander Central routed Freedom 22-2 Thursday in Morganton. The game was called after 5 inning due to the mercy rule.
The Lady Cougars scored in every inning and collected 23 hits led by Chesney Stikeleather, Kirstyn Herman, and Kaylin Marlowe who had 3 each. Herman had 4 run batted in and hit a home run.
Kara Hinkle allowed 3 hits and two runs to earn the win in the circle.
ACHS is now 9-1 overall and 8-1 in Northwestern Conference play.
