The Lady Cougars stay perfect on the season thanks to a rally in the second half. Trailing 31-29 at the break, AC pulled even and away, outscoring the Lady Knights 28-9 in the third quarter. Kirstyn Herman scored 22 points, freshman Meredith Wike 19 and Sydney Hayes 10. Alexander Central is 6-0, North Davidson led by Lettie Michael’s 19 points falls to 4-3.

The Blue and Gold led wire to wire and the game was never tied. The Cougars were up 19-9 after the first period and 34-16 at the half. Grayson Presnell led AC with 21 that featured a 7-7 shooting performance from beyond the three-point line. Chad Lasher and Avery Cook added 12 each and Carter Fortner was tops on the boards with 10 rebounds. Alexander Central is 4-2, North Davidson is 5-2.
The Cougars will host Pine Lake Prep of Mooresville on Tuesday. Pine Lake Preps does not have a JV Girls team so North Iredell will be competition.
