Taylorsville: The Cougars broke a three-game losing streak beating North Davidson Friday night in 8 innings.
The game was scoreless after three innings. The Cougars and the Knights traded single runs in the 4th. Neither team crossed the plate again through the regulation 7 innings. North scored two runs in the top of the 8th but the Cougars rallied with 3 to win the drama-filled game.
Jaret Hoppes won the game in relief going the final two-thirds of inning 8. He went 1-4 with an rbi as well. Koa Mikeal drove in a pair of runs in the 8th. Drew Chapman had a pair of hits.
Alexander Central improves to 2-4 while North Davidson is 3=3.
