Round II NC 4A Baseball Playoffs

Alexander Central 15 South Meck 12

Charlotte: If you make-up things like this, nobody would believe it. People saw it happen, it’s real !

Alexander Central came back from an 8-0 deficit and scored 13 runs in the 7th inning to shock South Meck Friday night.

The Sabres led 8-0 after three-innings and 8-2 heading to the seventh inning. The Cougars would need a rally for the ages. Again, it really happened !

Sophomore Koa Mikeal went 2-3 with 4 rbi, Drew Chapman knocked in 3, Sawyer Chapman-Mays had a pair of rbi as did Ty Matheson.

The Cougars led 15-8 but South almost came back in the home-half of the 7th. They plated 4 runs before the game ended with a double-play.

Alexander Central is 14-12 and moves into Round III of the post-season next week. They’ll head to Marvin Ridge.

Alex Central 15 runs-13 hits-4 errors
South Meck 12 runs-15 hits-2 errors
