The body of a drowned swimmer has been recovered on Lake Norman near Sherrils Ford.
The drowning was reported on Saturday. Crews searched the area until the the operation was halted by darkness Saturday evening.
The body that has yet to identifed, was found Sunday Morning when crews returned to the vicinity of channel marker 20 near the Lake Norman Picnic Ground.
