Woman Facing Drug And Failure To Appear Charges

23 year old Amanda Elaine Mellen of Hickory was arrested Thursday by Newton Police on drug and failure to appear counts. Mellon is charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance and a pair of failure to appear counts. Mellon was placed in the Catawba County Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond and is slated for a court appearance today.
