Heidi Darlene Wolfe
Heidi Darlene Wolfe appeard before a judge on Monday in a bond hearing. Her bond was reduced to $20,000 from $1 million. She was later released.
Wolfe and Areli Aguirre-Avilez of Taylorsville were arrested in June of 2019 and charged with the murder of a mother, her two children and two other men. The case sent shockwaves through the community when a mobile home burned leading to the discovery of the corpses of 11-year-old Angel Pacheco and his 13-year-old sister America Pacheco. Both had been shot prior to the dwelling be set ablaze.
The mother of the children, Maria Calderon Martinez was also killed. Her body was found in a burned truck in Virginia in November, 2019. The charred remains of Juan Carlos Mendez-Pena, and Luis Fernando Sanchez were also found in the truck.
Aguire-Avilez and Wolfe each are charged with 5 counts of murder.
Wolfe initially admitted to her role in the killings but later recanted the statement she made when she was charged. She is represented by Taylorsville attorney Joel Harbinson who says there is evidence that proves she was not present when the murders occurred.
