A fire investigation is underway after a restaurant fire in Wilkes County.
Firefighters were dispatched to Coach’s Neighborhood Grill on West US 421 in Wilkesboro on Tuesday at 6:40 pm. Upon arrival, smoke and flames were seen coming from the roof.
Officials said the flames were contained within an hour.
Several departments responded in addition to Wilkesboro including Millers Creek, Cricket, Moravian Falls, Broadway, Wilkes EMS, and Wilkesboro Police.
The North Carolina State Fire Marshal’s office said that the fire is believed to be accidental.
