The Wilkesboro Police Department is searching for a man who they say robbed a convenience store at gunpoint on Sunday evening.
Just before midnight on Sunday, Wilkes County Communications received a call from the store clerk at the Run In store on Oakwoods Road. The clerk told officers that a black male entered the business showed a handgun and pointed it at the clerk. The suspect demanded cash and also took cigarettes and fled the scene on foot.
No other information has been released.
