Wilkes County Woman Convicted Of Two Murders

A Wilkes County woman was given two consecutive life terms in prison without parole on Tuesday. A Wilkes County Superior Court Jury found her guilty of charges resulting from the fatal shooting of two people and near fatal shooting of another in southeastern Wilkes County in July, 2022.

Stacy Elizabeth Miller, age 35 of the Antioch Community, was found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder. Three counts of attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon were dismissed.

Miller fatally shot Ricky Lee Anderson, 59, of Wilkesboro and Sandra K. Shew, 60, of North Wilkesboro. She also shot Shannon Jones of North Wilkesboro in a home on Hunting Creek Road in the pre-dawn hours of July 17, 2022.Shew died at the scene. Anderson died about a week later. Jones, in her 30s, was shot twice in the head and once in the chest but survived. She testified during the trial.

James Louis Robinson, age 57 of North Wilkesboro was also charged. His trial has been delayed. Robinson remains in the Wilkes County Jail.
