Wilkes County Woman Charged With Attempted Murder

A Wilkes County woman has been charged with attempted murder.

The Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office has detained Selena Kristin Lovett, 39, of Traphill with attempted first-degree murder. She allegedly stabbed her boyfriend on April 26th.

Lovett is charged with stabbing Joel Seth Spicer II, 42, at an address on Lovett Lane. Spicer was stabbed in the chest and has been released from medical care..

Lovett is being held in the Wilkes County Jail with a secured bond of $500,000.
