Wilkes County Man Killed In Tuesday Mishap

Ronda – On Tuesday, December 23rd, at approximately 7:07 pm, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to and investigated a fatal collision in Wilkes County on Mathis Mill Road near Berry Lane. A 2014 Ram truck was traveling north on Mathis Mill Road when it crossed the center line, traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a tree, and then overturned.

The driver of the Ram Truck, Brent Andrew Reynolds, 35, of Roaring River, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The initial investigation indicates that the driver was not wearing his seatbelt. Mathis Mill Road was closed in the area for approximately two hours during the on-scene investigation.
