Joel Seth Spicer
Joel Seth Spicer, 45, of Elkin, is charged with the attempted murder of Garrett Dale Horne according to an arrest warrant. Wilkes Emergency Medical Services transported Horne to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. At last report, Horne was listed in critical condition due to a gunshot wound.
Wilkes deputies were dispatched Saturday night in response to a report of 33-year-old male being shot outside a residence at 223 Link Road, a dead end road off Austin-Little Mountain Road in Austin. The report was received about 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
