Taylorsville: Lily Proffit ! That’s the story as the West Wilkes pitcher pitched a no-hitter against Alexander Central Thursday night. Proffit, an Appalachian State commit, struck-out 12 and allowed a pair of walks.
The only run of the game came in the 4th inning when Proffit singled in Kylee Martin.
Alexander Central’s pitching was nothing shabby either. Macy Law and Laney Wike combined on a 3-hitter with only one walk.
West Wilkes is 15-0 while AC falls to 16-4.
