Wanted Fugitive From Alexander County Arrested In Virginia

A man is in Alexander County custody after eluding authorities for nearly two-months.

Tremayne Darrius Trevon Brown age 30 of Miranda DR., Taylorsville is charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle. The arrest warrant was filed on April 16th by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. Brown was taken into custody in Northampton County, Virginia and transferred to face the local charges.

A previous charge from 2025 for possession of a firearm by a felon is also pending in Alexander County. In addition, Brown is listed as a parole absconder based on a 2024 conviction in Clay County, N.C. for assault-inflicting serious bodily injury. He was given a 30 month suspended sentence and placed on probation.

Brown is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $100,000. A Monday court appearance is scheduled in Taylorsville.
